Dr Thong Kai Shin is a psychiatrist, registered with the Malaysian Medical Council and National Specialist Registry. She graduated as a medical doctor from Universiti Malaya and later obtained her Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) from Universiti Malaya. She is able to converse well in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Bahasa Malaysia.
Dr Thong is a life member of Malaysian Psychiatric Association and Malaysian Medical Association. She is also affiliated with NGOs such Tzu Chi International Medical Association and Green Crescent Malaysia.
